Billy Gray Obituary

SSG (US Army Ret) /CPL (Florida State Patrol Ret) Billy Gray was born June3, 1958 to the late Annie Ruth Gray (10-08-2017) and Grady Gray (03-24-2015) in Blakely, GA. Billy departed his earthly life on Friday, January 11, 2019.

Billy spent his early childhood in Blakely, GA where he was first introduced and became aware of the importance of having a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His early teen years were spent in the central Florida area. He graduated from Wyemore Career Educational Center in Eatonville, FL in 1978. Billy joined the U.S Army immediately after high school in 1978 and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He retired after seventeen years. He returned to the central Florida area and began a second career with the Florida State Patrol (FSP) where he rose to the rank of Corporal. Billy retired after twenty- two years with the FSP on May 2018.

Billy was an intuitive man as evidenced by his knowledge and success with the markets. He was a hard worker who knew how to take on a task and see it through to completion as indicated by his long work history retiring from both the US army and Florida State Patrol. Billy worked hard and used his professional experiences to benefit him and his family.

Billy enjoyed traveling and was a recurrent participant on the tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage Cruise. He saw this as an opportunity to reward him and Faye for their hard work and at the same time assist young people who were pursuing and education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).

Billy leaves to treasure his memories his loving faithful wife of over thirty-eight (38) years, Faye Gray; one (1) son, Billy, Jr, (summer) Gray of Orlando, FL; and three (3) daughters, Felicia (addicus) Cooper of Jacksonville, Fl; Tiffany Gray and Lakenya Perry of Orlando, FL; twelve (12) grand-children; one (1) sister Robbie (Solomon) Moore of Orlando, FL; three (3) brothers, Albert (Beverly) Gray; john Gray and Willie Gray all of Orlando, FL; Aunts and Uncles.
