Maggie Lue (Collins) Epps

Maggie Lue Epps was born on August 25, 1937, in Jakin, Georgia. Her parents were the late Willie and Emma Collins.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late David Epps, Sr. To this union six children were born; two of whom, Patricia Ann Epps and Annie Ruth Epps, preceded her in death.

At an early age, she accepted CHRIST and became a member of Newberry African Methodist Episcopal Church in Donalsonville, Georgia. She served there until her health failed. At this time, she relocated to Blakely, Georgia, to live with her daughter Adrienne. She then became a member of Saint John Missionary Baptist Church.

Much later in life, as her health continued to decline, she needed twenty-four-hour care. At this time, she became a resident of Early Memorial Nursing Home.

Maggie departed her earthly life on Friday, October 11, 2019. A kind and beautiful spirit, she will be deeply missed by those who love her.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Melanie Epps of West Palm Beach, FL, and Adrienne Epps of Blakely, GA; two sons, David Epps, Jr. and Carl Epps, both of West Palm Beach, FL; four grandchildren: Kerlon Epps, Shecura Jiste, both of West Palm Beach, FL, Kolleen Pollard, and Arthur Sparrow, Jr., both of Blakely; one sister, Emma Gilbert (Johnny) of Blakely; one brother, Hezzie Collins (Louise) of Mableton, GA; five sisters-in-law: Evera Mells, Beatrice Epps, Trudie Ceaser, all of Blakely, Edith Epps, and Betty Collins, both of Hollandale, FL; one brother-in-law, Charles Epps of Indianapolis, IN; a very special niece, Shelia Collins of Bainbridge, GA; a very special nephew, Leroy Faison of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
