Adell Rogers Moore passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 29, 2018. She was born September 11, 1940, in Edison, Georgia, to the late Floyd and Elizabeth Rogers. Adell was married to the Late Odessie Moore for a precious eighteen years.
She was preceded in death by four bothers and three sisters. She leaves behind precious memories to be cherished by five beautiful sisters: Lizzie Lassiter of Jacksonville, Florida, Evelyn Rogers of Columbus, Georgia, Louella Jones of Cocoa, Florida, Agnes Thomas of Miami, Florida, and Earnestine Nunally of Fort Gaines, Georgia.
She provided an atmosphere of love, motivation and support to her eleven children: Willie George (Patricia) Moore of Albany, Georgia, Barbara (Late Charles) Thompson of Coleman, Georgia, Horace Moore of Cocoa Florida, Lillian (Norman) James of Macon, Ga, Willie Nelson Moore of Edison, Georgia, Eddie (Priscilla) Moore of Dothan, Alabama, Genetta Moore of Edison, Georgia, Ronnie Moore of Cuthbert, Georgia, Robbie Moore of Edison, Georgia, Dorothea (A. J.) Marlow of Chattahoochee, Florida, and Theia (Frank) Hardrick of Edison, Georgia. She also leaves a legacy of kind spiritedness and compassion to a total of twenty-one grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Adell Moore was a sweet, humble and loving person to all who knew of her. She served a career of twenty-one years at Randolph Board of Education, where she positively impacted the lives of many faculty and students. She always had a smile on her face and a joke to share. She was a kind and gentle person who enjoyed cooking, actively participating in the Church, teaching the Word of GOD and spending time with family. Undoubtedly, she was a woman of GOD and lived her life serving others. She will truly be missed but never forgotten!
