Albert Ferguson Obituary

Albert Wellington Ferguson was born on January 11, 1970, in Nassau, Bahamas, to his loving parents Alice and Prince Ferguson. Following Alice’s Death in 1983, His family moved to Miami, Florida. Although this was a tremendous life changing event, Albert quickly adapted to his new home in America. A few years later, he welcomed Synthiest in to the family as his new mother.

Albert attended and graduated Palmetto Senior High School in Miami. He loved music and was a part of the Palmetto Senior High School Marching Band. He also played the drums at the Mt. Calvary National Church of God in Perrine, Florida, where his uncle, the late Rev. Craven Ferguson, was the Pastor.

In the spring of 1993, Albert graduated from the Gainesville job corps in Gainesville, Florida. Then in August of 1995, he graduated from Grandville Community College in Henderson, North Carolina, with skills in Electrical Installation and Maintenance. Later, he found the love of his life, Leslie Sabourin; they eventually married and settled in Savannah, Georgia.

Albert was a worker. For many years, he worked tirelessly in the Maintenance Department of Savannah’s Home Depot Warehouse. He usually kept to himself and was very selective of whom he called friend. But he knew that he had a friend in JESUS.

Although he battled serious health issues, Albert put his trust in GOD to see him through. In September of 2017, he became severely ill and was hospitalized. Through the pain, suffering and loneliness, he trusted in GOD.

On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 Albert heard the Voice of JESUS say, “Come unto ME and rest”. He downed his earthly tent and went Home to GOD.

Left to cherish fond memories of his life are his wife, Leslie Ferguson; his parents, Prince and Synthiest Ferguson; his brothers, Osbourne Ferguson of Manhattan, Kansas, Christopher Rose of Nassau, Bahamas, and Albert Buchanan of Miami, Florida; his uncles, Micheal Farquharson of Nassau, Bahamas, John Small of Miami, Florida, Rupert Toomer of Manitoba, Canada, Shepherd Paramore of Miami, Florida, and Deacon Henry Rollinson of Miami, Florida; his aunts, Dr. Rev. Betty Ferguson-Paramore of Miami, Florida, Marjorie Farquharson of Nassau, Bahamas, Valorie Small of Montreal, Canada; his nephews Travis Coleman of Avondale, Arizona, and Jonah Ferguson of Denver, Colorado; his niece, Mallory Ferguson of Manhattan, Kansas; his sister-in-law, Camisha Ferguson of Manhattan, Kansas; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends throughout the United States and the Bahamas.
