Alesia Levette Obituary

Alesia Nelson Levette "aka Monifah (one with luck) Haquikah (Honest) Tulinagwe (God is with us)" was born August 21, 1953 to the Betty Jean Nelson and Timothy Salter, Sr. She made her peaceful transition on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in Gulfport, Mississippi.

She graduated from Jones County High School in Orlando, Florida and eventually moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

Alesia professed her love for God at an early age and attended several churches on her spiritual journey. She attended the Shrine of the Black Madonna (Atlanta), where she enhanced her outreach abilities and operated as a thriving songstress.

She married her loving husband William Charles Levette in 1988. They shared an awesome union for eight years. Upon his passing, she moved to Blakely, Georgia to be closer to her extended family and help care for her father. During her time in Blakely, she worked as a driver for Sunbelt Transportation. In addition, she lived in Ft. Gaines, Georgia and worked as a substitute in the Clay County School System. All the while traveling with a special cousin Reverend Richard Cruz singing as he played music.

In early 2005, under the leadership of Bishop Eugene Rice, she was baptized into the Pentecostal Church of God. She continued to exemplify a lifestyle of being fully committed to the will of God. She enjoyed singing praises & hymns to the God of her salvation. As a woman of faith, she was ordained a Praying Woman and witnessed diligently to the Word of God, reaching as many as possible until her health began to fail in 2008. She never met a stranger. She lived her life on the knowledge that God will provide, and He specializes in things that seem impossible. Truly she was a faithful, and optimistic Woman of God having what appeared to be the most faith a person could have on earth.
