Sister Annette (Barley) Reynolds was born August 3, 1930, in Blakely, Georgia, to the late Eugene Barley and Flazelle West. She became a member of Rosinvick Missionary Baptist Church.
Sister Annette (Barley) Reynolds was dedicated to her family and work. During her early years, she worked as a housekeeper and later at Early Memorial Hospital Dietary Department until her retirement in 2000. Cooking and baking cakes were her hobbies. In 2007 she moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina, with her son Walter Reynolds, and her health began to fail years later.
Sister Annette (Barley) Reynolds departed this earthly life on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Sister Annette (Barley) Reynolds was married to the late Johnny Will Reynolds, and their union was blessed with four children; one of whom, Margaret Reynolds, preceded her in death, leaving three children with whom she leaves cherished memories: Annie Jean Clark, Annie Ruth Bess, both of Albany, Georgia, and Melvin Reynolds of Fort Gaines, Georgia. She later established a relationship with Mr. W. T. Fleming, which produced three children with whom she also leaves cherished memories: Marsonia Reynolds (Gloria) of Blakely, Georgia, Juanita Wright and companion Dean of Huntsville, Alabama, and Walter Reynolds of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Bullard (Cyril) of Miami, Florida, and Erma Bennett of Douglas, Georgia, and one brother, Willie West of Jacksonville, Florida. Seven siblings–John Barley, Daisy Grant, Clifford Murrell, Carlton West, Norman West, Ernest West and Eugene Barley–also preceded her in death. Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
