A Time to Be Born:
Arthur (Joe) Lee Graham Jr. was born to the late Mr. Arthur and Mrs. Vanessie Grimes Graham on August 2, 1954. He was a native of Blakely, Georgia.
A Time to Plant:
Arthur (Joe) Lee Graham Jr. joined Saint John Freewill Baptist Church at an early age; he continued to served faithfully until his health failed him. He received his education through the Early County Public School System, graduating Early County High School in 1972. Arthur (Joe) was married to Valetta Graham of East Orange, New Jersey.
A Time to Die:
Arthur Graham Jr. departed his life on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the home of his sister Jacqueline Graham after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his two brothers Robert Earl Graham and Milton Wayne Graham.
A Time to Mourn:
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory three children: Zarifa Madyun, Antoine Wiggins, both of Newark, New Jersey, and Jomar Graham of East Orange, New Jersey; five sisters: Elizabeth Wright Allen (Alonzo) of Aiken, South Carolina, Mary Freeman (Arthur), Essie Graham Calloway (Allen, deceased), Jacqueline Graham, and Lisa Graham Williams (Eddie), all of Blakely, Georgia; one uncle, Milton Wade (Helen) of Tampa, Florida; a special friend Sarah Brown and her children whom he helped raise: Wellington Henderson Jr. and Ta’Neill Henderson (one granddaughter, Jade Williams), all of Blakely, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
