Asker ("Slick Rick", "Bomber", "Rye") Williams was born on July 19, 1948, in Damascus, Georgia, to the late Julius Williams and Beulah Mae Royal. At an early age, he received CHRIST as his PERSONAL SAVIOR and visited churches throughout the communities. He received his education in the Early County School System, completing at Washington High School in Damascus, Georgia.
On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, Asker’s hardworking, dedicated laboring hands were put to rest. He was called to a place where the wicked shall cease from troubling and the weary shall be at rest.
In addition to his father and mother, several family members preceded him in death. They include his sister Lillie Bell Williams and two brothers Tommy Williams and Julius Williams Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted children: Pastor Edward Williams (Janice), Reverend Andrew Wright (Darcel), Elizabeth Williams, Chris Williams, Pamala Williams, Darell Williams, Steve Williams (Jonita), and Rodney Williams (Viola); thirty-six grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one brother, R. L. Williams of Daytona Beach, FL; one sister, Vera Mae McDowell of Colquitt, GA; one aunt, Lula B. Rush of Tallahassee, FL; two children whom he raised as his own, April Roberts and Michael Roberts; one sister-in-law, Emma illiams of Blakely, GA; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
