Authur Ray “Bud” Freeman Sr. was born to the late Claude and Adris Freeman on November 26, 1945. He was a native of Early County, Georgia.
A Time to Plant:
Authur “Bud” accepted JESUS CHRIST as his SAVIOR at an early age and joined Saint Maryland Missionary Baptist Church. He received his education in the Early County Public School System, where he attended Washington High School of Blakely, Georgia. He devoted his love to the former Mary Lee Graham, and in 1969, the two were married.
A Time to Die:
Authur “Bud” departed his earthly life on Monday, January 30, 2023, at his home in Blakely, Georgia, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his son Ralph “Phillip” Freeman, his two brothers Claude E. Freeman Jr. and Willie Lee Freeman, and his two sisters Betty Freeman and Annie Lue Freeman.
A Time to Mourn:
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his wife, Mary Lee Freeman; eleven children: Demetria (Williton) Kegler, Sharon George, Rodney (Shirley) Freeman, April (Willie) Houston, Authur (Cassandra) Freeman Jr., Pranell (Vanessa) Freeman, Tellis (Sandy) Hollinger, Sabrina Freeman, Terrance Freeman, Brook Freeman, and Antione “Tip” Freeman; thirty-one grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Bankston and Isabella Jackson; one brother, Ralph (RaMelle) Freeman; five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Elizabeth and Alonzo Allen, Essie Calloway, Jacqueline Graham, and Lisa and Eddie Williams, and Diane Graham; two aunts, Rosie Mae Henderson and Lizbeth Arrington; fifteen nieces; twelve nephews; two special friends, John Lester and Teddy Lester; and a host of cousins and additional friends.
