Bertha Lee Pugh

Mrs. Bertha Lee Pugh was born April 15, 1941, in Blakely, Georgia, to the late Brownie Mae Pugh and the late Joseph Powell.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Charlie Ell Pugh. To this union eighteen children were born; two of whom preceded her in death.

Bertha was a loving, caring Christian woman who loved THE LORD and everyone who came into her presence. She fought a good fight until THE LORD sent HIS Angels to set her free from all the pain and suffering and called her Home on Monday, December 4, 2017.

She leaves to cherish her memories sixteen children—five sons: Charles Pugh of Valdosta, GA, Curtis Pugh (Ann) of Blakely, GA, David Pugh (Shonta) of Savannah, GA, Kelvin Pugh (Rebecca) of Phoenix, AZ, and Shawn Pugh (Tamara) of Dothan, AL; and eleven daughters: Barbara Wilson (Willie) of Cuthbert, GA, Joyce Rainge (Terry) of Blakely, GA, Linda George (Lester) of Edison, GA, Diane Pugh, Demita Pugh, Betty Williams (Terry), Delois Pugh, Evonne Pugh, Pamela Bradley (Jimmie), Teresa Reed (Bobby), and Robin Tolbert (Demetrius), all of Blakely, GA; sixty-five grandchildren; seventy-eight great grandchildren; one brother, Roscell Powell of Savannah, GA; two sisters, Doris Hubbard (Tyrone) of Blakely, GA and Sandra Powell Williams of Savannah, GA; and a host nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
