Brenda Lee Early departed this life Thursday evening, September 4, 2025, at Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.
Born June 16, 1965, in Damascus, Georgia, Brenda was the daughter of Robert Lee Early, Sr. and Annie Bell Reed. She also had a devoted stepfather, David Lee Reed Jr., who helped raise her. She had one sister, Latashia Kay Jones, to precede her in death.
At an early age, she joined Willis Grove Community Church, located in Damascus, Georgia. She served as a faithful member until her death. Having possessed a beautiful voice, she enjoyed singing in the Choir.
Brenda graduated from Early County High School in 1983. She furthered her education at Albany Technical College, receiving degrees in Early Childhood Education and Criminal Justice. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant until her health failed. She always loved working with children and for a period of time worked at Camp E-Tu-Nake in Blakely, Georgia.
Brenda leaves to cherish her loving memories six sisters: Maranda Reed, Sara Reed, Dracey Reed- Jackson (Darren), Janice Early, all of Blakely, Georgia, Sabrina Early of Orlando, Florida, and Sara Graham (Andrew) of Albany, Georgia; seven brothers: Reginald Jones, Robert Early Jr., Freddie Early, Johnny Reed (Terri), Eddie C. Early, Ricky Early, all of Orlando, Florida, and Victor Richardson of Bainbridge, Georgia; two nieces, Chesaty Reed and Rhylin Jones, and two nephews, Oscottish Reed and Jameer Early, whom she held close to her heart and treated as if they were her own; a godson, Damarian “Mario” Thompson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom will miss her dearly.
