Carolyn Yvonne Thomas, also known as "Cat", was born March 7, 1947, to the late Mr. R. C. and Mrs. Hattie Mae Pittman of Blakely, Georgia. She received her education at Washington Elementary and High School. At an early age, Carolyn moved to Gainesville, Florida, where she resided for twenty-three years and was married to the late Leo Frank Thomas for thirteen years. In 1985, she moved back to home to Blakely, where she resided until her death on Sunday, February 25, 2018. In addition to her parents, a sister, Alice Faye Pittman, and a brother, Arthur Murray Levatt, preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children–four daughters: Felecia Pittman, Dana Thomas (John), Dantelle Thomas (Gary), and Whitney Thomas (Greg); and three sons: Mario Thomas, Leo Frank Thomas Jr., and Nekar Pittman (Mishell); seventeen grandchildren: Maurice, Jesse, Martasia, Renea, Mario, Ronzell, Irene, Malcolm, Leo Frank III, Renard (Shenita), Ladonnis, Maya, Jakia, Shiyawna, Jazmine, Kyron, and Konnor; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Early "Pepper" Hicks (Terry) and Rebecca McKinney (William); one niece, Tiffany Glenn (Travis); two nephews, Timothy Levatt and Kenneth Levatt; special cousins: Louise Conway, Rebecca George, and Abigail Levatt; and a host of aunts, uncles, other cousins and friends.
