Celia M. Rocquemore was born December 2, 1950, in Blakely, Georgia, to Mr. Artis J. Ceasar and Ms. Gladys Henderson.
At an early age, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Later, she returned back to Blakely to take care of her parents.
Celia received her education in the public school system of Early County, Georgia, graduating from Washington High School.
Having accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR, she was a loving and devoted member of Third Macedonia Baptist Church, as well as attended other local churches in the surrounding area. She was previously married to the late Gerald Rocquemore.
Celia Rocquemore was a mother, a sister, a grandmother, an aunt and a close friend to all! A beautiful woman called by many nicknames and titles, which was determined by the relationship one had with her. If you were a close family member, you called her “Sister”, “Baby Sister”, even “Celia Mae”, or “Auntie Red Bird”! If you knew her for the woman who celebrated life and lived life abundantly, you may have called her “Red” or “Red Bird”. She had an affectionate love for her family, the church and children! She loved to cook and feed others in the community. Celia M. Rocquemore operated in the gifts of help, always extending resources and finances to those in need.
After passing on March 15, 2026, she was joyfully welcomed by those who had transitioned before her, which included Sylvester Ceasar, Artis Ralph Ceasar, Thomas Ceasar, and Helen Ceasar.
She leaves to cherish impressionable memories her children Patrick Ceasar, Gerald Rocquemore and Tomeka Rocquemore; granddaughters Nikkie Williams (Terrence), Erica Love and Carla Traylor; grandson Patrick Ceasar Jr.; several other grandchildren; great grandchildren; devoted sister Mary Ceasar Gilbert (Tommy); devoted nephew Sterling Ceasar (Karen); as well as, her uncle Remus Ceasar, aunt Trudy Ceasar, her special friends Shirley Harris and Mytrice Jackson; and a host of loving cousins and other relatives and friends.
