Cornelius Leath

BROTHER CORNELIA “BUD” LEATH was born on March 12, 1961, in Early County, Georgia. He was the son of Mr. Alfred Leath and Pastor Emma Barber.

Cornelia was a hardworking man who poured himself into his work. He was employed by Thompson, Birdsong and Menette Lawn Care and Landscaping. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, grilling, and spending time with his friends, his grandkids and his family. Bud touched the lives of everyone he met with his big smile and kind heart.

He will be missed by all.

Cornelia departed his earthly life on July 6, 2025. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister Bernice Leath Williams.

Mr. Leath leaves to cherish his memories and to celebrate his legacy his wife of 40 years, Faye Leath; his kids: Antron Wiggins, Meshia McClendon, Travese Leath (Ceria) and Standish Stapleton (Shandora); his stepchildren: Tiane Brown (Arthor), Quienton Wiggins and Kakelia Wiggins; his mother, Pastor Emma Barber; his siblings: Randy Wade Sr., Jeffery Wade (Sheneaka), Trendolyn Wade, Edward Wade, Nate Tinson (Takisha), Zach Tinson (Deneshia), Sherman Tinson (Gabrielle), Lakela Wade, and Mary Barber (Brad); his special aunt, Ola Wade; his special uncle, Alvin Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

“And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of GOD is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and GOD HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their GOD. And GOD shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4
