Cyrus Edward Butler, Sr.

CYRUS EDWARD BUTLER SR., 60, transitioned to Eternal Life on Sunday, April 11, 2021, by answering a calling from GOD.

Cyrus was born July 12, 1960, in Blakely, Georgia, to Annette Hightower Butler and Jessie James Butler. He attended Early County High School.  He also attended Tuskegee University.  He was a construction worker until his health declined.

Cyrus was preceded in death by his father; a son, Cyrus Butler Jr.; sister, Jessie Ruth Hutchins, and his grandson, Cyrion Butler.

Cyrus leaves loving memories to be treasured by his mother, Annette Butler; four children: Natasha (Shandrae) Wimberly of Blakely, GA, Tiffany King of Albany, GA, Cecilia Butler of Dawson, GA, and Quintero Spencer of Jonesboro, GA; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Fay (Jimmy) Wiggins and Sheila (Darrell) Teal, both of Dawson, GA; two brothers, Marvin (Denise) Butler of Albany, GA, and Jeffrey (Jarnetta) Butler of Macon, GA; a special nephew, DeCanta Butler; a good friend, Darrell Teal; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousin whom he loved dearly.
