David Reed Jr. Obituary

David Lee Reed Jr. was born April 10, 1946, to the late David Lee ReedSr. and Gertrude Rivers McClendon. He was a native of Blakely, Georgia.

David was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Annie Bell Jones on June 17, 1972. To this union three children were born.

David was a past member of Robert Pride Masonic Lodge #123 of Damascus, Georgia. He was a faithful employee for W. E. McDowell Farms, Inc. of Damascus, retiring after forty–one years of service.

David Lee Reed Jr. departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Early in Blakely. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Lee McNair and Pinkie Reed, one brother, Morris McClendon, and one stepdaughter, Latashia Jones.

He leaves to cherish precious memories five daughters: Dracey Jackson (Darren), Maranda Reed, Sara Reed, all of Blakely, GA, Sara Graham (Andrew) of Albany, GA, and Lorretta Reed of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two stepdaughters, Brenda Early and Janice Miller (Arthur), both of Blakely; one stepson, Reginald Jones of Orlando, FL; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four sisters: Bobbie Jean McClendon, Virginia Bailey, both of Melbourne, FL, Mary Bailey (Thomas) of Palm Bay, FL, and Patricia Brown of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Grady Branch of Blakely and Walter Reed of Minnesota; three stepsisters: Cotina McClendon of Atlanta, GA, Georgia Williams, and Mary McClendon, both of Orlando, FL; two stepbrothers, Derrick McClendon and Duncan McClendon, both of Orlando, FL; two special nephews, Greg Kegler and Lee Reed, both of Blakely; a devoted cousin, Willie Johnson; and a host of nieces, other nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
