Dewayne Wimberly

Dewayne was born December 3, 1971, in Blakely, Georgia, to Johnny Wimberly and Sally Jean Tinson.  At a young age, he joined the Blakely Holiness Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Dickens. 

He received his education in the Early County Public School System.  Dewayne was employed with Mr. Bobby Wimberly Yard Services.  He also was a seasonal worker at Early County Cotton Gin.  

On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, Dewayne transitioned from his earthly vessel.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David McClendon Sr.; paternal grandparents Frank and Mary Wimberly; uncles David McClendon Jr., Bobby Charles King, Lewis Wimberly, James Wimberly, Larry Wimberly and Frank Wimberly Jr.; aunts Mary Reed, Betty McClendon and Mary Jean Bradley; and nephew Cyrion Butler.

Survivors include his children:  Jacqueanvian Jones, Kandashia Jones, Terrance Deshun Davis, Byron Grant, Javon Wiggins, Diwanis Hollinger, Shareka Jones, and Ja'Kinah Freeman; grandchildren:  Jalecia Rogers, Jaceon Patterson, Kendarius Jones, Noah Warren, Ja'von Wiggins Jr., Mahani Wiggins, and Keilani Monea Hollinger;  mother, Sally Jean Thompson; father, Johnny Wimberly; grandmother, Marion McClendon; siblings:  Mary J. Torrence (Theo), Kimmie Graham, Dawn Reed, Jasmine West, Latoya Wimberly-Pugh (Ron), Robert Reed Jr., and Joey Reed; stepsister, Sherrell Humphrey; nieces and nephews:  Samone Little, Britnee Hursey (Mark), Tyonna Wiggins, D'Ziyah Reed, Harley Pugh, Lekeita Humphrey, Shy'Yanna Henderson, Samyah Little, Armani Little, Milan Williams, Tylan Wimberly, Tyriq Torrence, Robert Reed III, Cortez Reed, Q'Derius Reed, Jalen Reed, DeVante' Graham, Jaquaven Sparrow, Marquez Reed, Jaqari Reed, Khai Snipes, Massiah Hursey, Jassiah Reed, Deion Humphrey, Justin Brackins, Kingston Henderson, Jaxxon Glenn, Konner Green, and Ashton Stamper; aunts and uncles:  Doris Daniels, Marion C.
