Dorothy Lene Stevens Early was born on August 14, 1951, in Damascus, Georgia.
She departed this earthly life on June 18, 2023.
Dorothy was united in Holy Matrimony to her former husband Berry Early, and to this union were born three children: Berry Early Jr., Anita Diane Early and Lawrence Early. Dorothy later adopted two sons, Lawrence and Adarius, whom she loved, raised and cared for as those she birthed.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Russell and Inell Stevens; four children: Anita Early, Berry Early Jr., Lawrence Early, and Adarius Early; one sister, Mary Lee Toliver Mbadiwe; and two brothers, Freddie Lee Toliver and Jerome W. Stevens.
Dorothy loved FAMILY, and together they shared many memories worthy of remembrance. She leaves to mourn her passing and inherit the ‘bank of memories’ a devoted son, Lawrence Early (Sylvia) of Hampton, GA; eight sisters: Frankie Mae Griffin of Graceville, FL, Mary “Betty” Wimbush, Beverly Ann Reed, Doris Lindsey (Curtis), all of Blakely, GA, Elouise Wimbush of Albany, GA, RuPearl Sharpe (Rick) of Sharpsburg, GA, Katherine Stevens of Jacksonville, FL, and Gloria Thomas of Arlington, GA; one brother, Clarence Stevens (Jackie) of Sanford, ME; two special nephews, LeMorris Griffin and Randy Wimbush Jr., both of Blakely, GA; two aunts, Shirley Adams of Edison, GA, and Lizzie Mae Teal of Cairo, GA; one uncle, L. Z. Adams of Edison, GA; and a host of nieces, other nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
