On the morning of Friday, April 3, 2020, Elaine George departed to her Heavenly Home. She was affectionately known as "Lane".
Elaine George was born on March 16, 1957, to the late Amous and Doris George. She accepted CHRIST at an early age and was a faithful member of Saint Maryland Missionary Baptist Church.
Lane was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert Earl George, Freddie James George, Marcus James George, Amos George Jr. and Willie Wimbush; and sisters Anna Jean Wimbush, Rose George and Carolyn Henderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories four sons: Vernarick George of Blakely, GA, Calvin Moore of Atlanta, GA, Tracey George (Jessie) of Blakely, GA, and LeCour George of Dothan, AL; a very special granddaughter whom she raised as her own, AlyAsia George; twelve additional grandkids: Kelsie Moore, Tracey Beacham, Arthur Holmes, Kidicia George, Dontavis George, Mi’Kayla George, Tyler George, Akeyla George, LeCour George Jr., KioVanna George, Allyunnia George, and Angel George; one great grandkid, Dominic Holmes; two sisters, Mae Wimberly of Blakely, GA, and Flower Wimbush of Thomasville, GA; two brothers, Amos George (Rebecca) and Lester George, both of Blakely, GA; one lifelong and devoted friend, Evelyn Hill Mincey; and a host of other family and friends.
