Elder Clarence Brown III was born on March 9, 1949, in Tampa, Florida, to Ms. Martha Fleming and Mr. Clarence Brown II. He gave his life to CHRIST at an early age. He began teaching Sunday School with his grandmother while traveling around to several churches. Until retirement, Elder Brown was employed by Johnson Control Battery Plant for over 35 years manufacturing batteries. He departed his earthly life on December 29, 2024. Clarence III was preceded in death by his mother, father, stepfather Elmore Ashley, and godsister Prophetess Annie Lois Burris.
Serving THE LORD, bowling, singing, and in his younger days, boxing were Elder Clarence Brown III’s passions. He bowled in several leagues and multiple tournaments, winning countless trophies. In his bowling family, he was affectionately named “Mr. Awesome”, which stuck with him for the remainder of his life. He never met a stranger and was willing to help everyone. His love of ministering and people led to him becoming an Ordained Minister, and by The Anointing was his ministry for over 28 years. For many years, he sang with the Mighty Traveling Stars. Prior to that, he sang with the Spiritual Revivals, other quartets and choirs.
Clarence was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Fannie Jacobs-Brown for 47 years. He was a great father to Clarence Brown IV (Tamara), Kashunda Brown, and Terrence Brown (Delicia). His grandchildren are Shaquetta Streets (George), Ronrico K. Smith, Lyric Brown, Cynnae Brown, Olivia Brown, and Ziya Brown. His great grandchildren are George Streets, Gregory Streets, and Ava Wright. Goddaughters are Amanda Maria Miller, LaChanda Anaga-woke, Cathedria Ajedegba, and Chanda Scott.
