Fay Ann Butler Wiggins was born on August 11, 1954, to Jesse James Butler and Annette Hightower Butler.
She received her Associate Degree in Nursing in Thomasville, Georgia. Nursing was her passion; nursing was her life—during her time in the nursing field, she impacted and encouraged so many others.
She was a member of Greater Second Mount Olive until her health began to fail, but she continued to worship through live streams until her final rest. Fay was a family woman who adored her children and grandchildren. Any individual who encountered her would always say she had a heart of Gold. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Jimmy Ross Wiggins on February 8, 2012.
On September 30, 2021, she peacefully departed her life here on earth in the comfort of her home.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jimmy Wiggins; three children: Swanzettamazetta “Swan” Andrews, DeCanta Shaheed Butler, and ReNata LaShay Anthony (Marquette); thirteen grandchildren by her children: CPL DaQuarious Butler, CPL Elyjah Butler, DeCanta, Connor, DeKanye, Arielle, Coda, Javion, Coylen, Cayden, Janovia, Callie, Jasih; and four great grandchildren. Also found in mourning are her six bonus children: Shinjie Wiggins, Ghana Paige, Angela Foster (Roderick), Jimmy T. Wiggins, Daryl Wiggins, and Cornelius Thomas; along with nineteen bonus grandchildren and seventeen bonus great grandchildren.
Also left to keep her memory alive are her three siblings: Marvin Butler (Denise), Jeffery Butler (Jarnetta), and Shelia Teal (Darrell); three sisters-in-law: Lula Alexander, Ida Johnson, and Lucille Long; and two brothers-in-law, James Wiggins (Mary) and MSG (Ret.) O’Neal Wiggins (Kim); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Fay was preceded in death by three siblings Diane Butler, Jessie Ruth Hutchins and Cyrus Butler; and three sisters-in-law Helen Wiggins, Annie Bell Oxford and Mary Alice Johnson.
