On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, Ida Mae Henderson was called Home by THE LORD. Ida was born February 22, 1941, in Blakely, Georgia. Her parents were the late Mr. Clemmie and Mrs. Ollie Mae Henderson. She was preceded in death by her two siblings, Less Henderson and Rosa Henderson Gilbert.
Ida received her education in the public school system of Early County, graduating Washington High School in the Class of 1960. Having had accepted CHRIST as SAVIOR in her life, she was a member of Stephen Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she was Financial Secretary until her failing health kept her mostly housebound. Ida was an employee of the Early County School System for ten years before retiring in 2011.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories five children: Wellington O’neal Henderson Sr., Sharon Davis (Johnny), Michael Henderson (Iris, deceased), Kimberly Henderson, and Kristina Henderson; nine grandchildren: Brandi McClendon Stringer (Mark), Alexia Foster, Christopher Alexander, Kahlil Stapleton (Chasity), Kayla Stapleton, Taneill Henderson, Wellington O’neal Henderson Jr., Deshaun Henderson, and Christian Dozier; thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host other loved ones.
