Iris Cornelia (Jackson) Jones

On Saturday, November 11, 2023, GOD called another servant, Iris Cornelia Jackson Jones, Home.  She was born on January 18, 1940, to the late Inez Hightower Hall and Pat Jackson.  

She devoted her life to CHRIST at an early age when she joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.  There she served as a faithful member until her health failed. 

Iris was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Roosevelt Jones Jr.  To this union six children were born; one of whom, Michael Rex Jones, preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her passing five children:  Johnny L. Jones (Queen), Charita Jones, Dianne Jones, all of Blakely, GA, Steve Jones of Dothan, AL, and Debra Stapleton (Greg) of San Leandro, CA; twelve grandchildren: Larodicus, Kesha, Takeya, Brittany, Amber, Malcolm, Estwona, Denequa, Shayonna, Maliyah, Zybreia, and Nakhia; twenty-one great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Fields (Joseph) of Blakely; one brother, Mack Hall Jr. (Yvonne) of Blakely; one aunt, Norma Perry of Quincy, FL; sisters-in-laws:  Mary Hall, Thelma Gilbert, Ann West (Johnny), Mary Louise McCoy, Bennie Pearl Sapp, and Trudie Jones; brothers-in-law, McArthur Jones and Floyd Gilbert; one special cousin, Dorothy Balkcom; two special nephews, David Williams and Edward Hutchins; and a host of nieces, other nephews,  other sorrowing relatives and friends.
