Ms. Jane Carolyn Thornton was born March 11, 1955, to Eddie Roy Thornton, Sr., and Annie Mae Thornton.
She transitioned Home on October 19, 2021, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.
Jane Thornton graduated Washington High School in Early County, Georgia, in 1972. She accepted CHRIST at an early age and was a member of Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was employed at Early Memorial Nursing Home for eighteen years.
Jane was a devoted mother who loved and cared for her children and grandchildren. She was truly a blessing to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie Roy Thornton, Jr., and one sister, Annie Thornton-Freeman.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two sons, Brian Thornton (Nicole) and Christopher Thornton; three grandchildren: Breanna Thornton, Destiny Ponder, and Christopher Reed; four brothers: Eddie Roy Thomas (Dorothy), David Thomas, Jerome Thomas, and Robert Thomas; three special nieces: Denita Thornton-Price (Travis), Litoya Thornton (Shaun), and April Thornton; one aunt, Gracie Peterson; one uncle, Robert Thornton; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly; special friends: Diane Foster, Hattie Mae Perkins, Anna Williams, and Cheryl Nunally; and a special son whom she loved dearly, Keith Williams.
