Jessie Mae Wembs, also known as “BOONANA”, was born in Macon, Georgia, on December 25, 1925.
Jessie was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who was full life, love and laughter.
On August 1, 2024, she transitioned from earthly life in Blakely, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Wembs, her son Willie Lee Prather, her grandsons Andrew Dawson and Michael Brown, and her great-great grandson Jaden George.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her children: Mary George (Eddie), Annie Pugh (Curtis), Jessie Price, and Shelby Prather (Nita); seven grandchildren: Lakeysha George (Victor), Nate George (Yolanda), Teresa George, Eddie Lee George Jr. (Phyllis), Rebecca George, Tameka Price, and Willie George (Natasha); sixteen great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; special goddaughter, Alice Battle; special friends, Claudine Freeman and Maylee Price; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and additional friends.
