John El Price was born October 17, 1959, in Blakely, Georgia, to the late Donnell and Bobbie Lee Price. He attended Early County School and was employed as a Certified Auto Mechanic.
John accepted CHRIST as his SAVIOR. He joined Saint Maryland Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.
Affectionately known as “Big Money”, he was well known for his ability to fix any vehicle and specialized in transmission repair. He had a big heart and was a giver. His motto was “I make money; money don’t make me. Nothing but fifties and hundreds: no small change–got money and sense with it”.
John El departed his earthly life on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Early in Blakely, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his brother Ralph Price and sister Mary Price.
He leaves to cherish his memories his best friend and wife Dana; children Tomeka Price, Octavius Igles, Renard Thomas (Shenita), Ladonnis Thomas and Maya Price; grandchildren Justice Tyner, Goddess Price, Dazon Igles and Vontavious Thomas; sisters Faye Price, Carolyn Price, Deborah George (Bernard), Rita James (Edwin), Aretha Tinson, Rebecca Henderson (Rex), Jeanette Comfort and Carolyn Thompson; brothers Kenneth Price (Kim), William Price (Val) and Larry Price; sisters-in-law Felicia Pittman, Dantelle Thomas and Whitney Thomas; brothers-in-law Mario Thomas, Leo Thomas and Nekar Pittman; special nephew Donnell Price; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; extended family The Robinson Family; and a host of friends, including close friends Curtis Pugh, Donnie Skipper and Rex Henderson.
