Juanita Rainge was born September 28, 1932, in Blakely, Georgia, to Inoes and Rosie Lee Lewis Murrell. GOD called her Home on Wednesday, December20, 2023. She attended Union Hill School in Blakely. She accepted CHRIST early in life and became a member of Mt. Hosea Freewill Baptist Church, where she served as a dedicated member for over 40 years. In 1980, Juanita joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, and in 2021, she joined Church Street Church of Christ, where she faithfully served until death.
She was a consummate homemaker diligently providing for the well-being of her family. Juanita was an avid fisherman, never missing an opportunity to fish. She enjoyed the tranquility of fishing, and it was clearly her most cherished pastime. Juanita also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Juanita had very close friendships with Dollie Battle and Ernestine Wade, often socializing at church functions, fishing and other activities. They, along with her cherished loved ones, will miss her presence here on earth but have comfort in knowing one day they will meet again.
Juanita leaves to cherish her loving memories (4) sons: Louie Edward Rogers, Willie C. Rogers (Virginia), Terry Rainge (Joyce), all of Blakely, GA, and John Rogers (Pam) of Panama City, FL; and (6) daughters: Mary Lee Rogers-Johnson, Mary J. Wade, Jeanette Gilbert, Helen Francis Rainge, Angela Perkins (Charles), all of Blakely, GA, and Sheila Tinson (Eddie) of Dothan AL; (21) grandchildren; (52) great grandchildren, and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
One child, Jay Junior, preceded her in death. She had (3) brothers: Murray Murrell (Inez), Zelotis Murrell (Ilene), both of West Palm Beach, FL, and Willie Lee Murrell (Dorothy) of Blakely, GA, and (1) sister, Vera Mae Stovall of Blakely GA; all of whom preceded her in death.
