Keith Johnson Obituary

Keith Lamont Johnson, also known as “Sweat”, was born in Miami, Florida on November 24, 1966, to Ronnie Macon and James Johnson.

Keith is survived by his son, Keith Quimbley of Stockbridge, Georgia; his mother, Ronnie Macon of Miami, Florida; his father, James Johnson of Donalsonville, Georgia; his brothers: George Macon, Jr., of Miami, Florida, Perry Macon of Miami, Florida; his sister, Twyala Pennell of Miami, Florida; two grandchildren; his brother, Eric Macon of Miami, Florida was previously welcomed home by the Lord.

Keith was an inspiration to everyone he came in contact with because he had such a beautiful soul. He had some setbacks in his life, but Keith always loved his family and his whole family reciprocated his love. He always showed his love and appreciation for his son, his grandchildren, father, mother, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews and everyone else he was family or friends with. He was very positive and always looked forward to a renewed life and now has it in the arms of God.

Paul, the most family of the Apostles, wrote the book Philippians while in prison. Like Paul, Keith never lost his faith while in a dark and difficult place but always lived by the Gospel and sought to share the Gospel with others. “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world” Philippians 2:15

We don’t think of Paul’s imprisonment first when we think of Paul, but his love for God and the Gospel, his living of the Gospel, and his spreading of the word of God. So also did Keith love God and the Gospel and spread the word of God. The theme of Philippians in rejoicing in a time of suffering.

Keith rejoiced in his time of what was supposed to be suffering and was always happy and positive, and he would want us to rejoice in a time of what is supposed to be suffering. “For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of the Jesus Christ”. Philippians 1:19
