Our beloved Kevin Jerome Thomas Sr. was born April 2, 1968, in Blakely, Georgia. He was the youngest of nine children born to the late James Lewis Thomas and Pastor Louise Williams.
On the rising of the day on Saturday, July 26, 2025, our beloved Kevin was picked from this pilgrim’s journey after a valiant battle with multiple sclerosis to enter into Rest without pain and suffering. Kevin, also known as “Haney” as some called him, will be remembered in the hearts of his children, his siblings, his family, and all those who knew him and loved him for his comical and witty sense of humor.
He graduated from Early County High School, where he was the highlight of his class. Kevin later entered the workforce. He was a skillful CDL-licensed truck driver. He loved his tenure as a chartered bus driver under Southern Coaches, where he traveled the United States and came back home to tell of his adventures over the years.
Kevin left his mark while traveling with his mother, the Late Great Pastor Louise Williams, to spread the Gospel over this world. He took her to many destinations, and many souls were saved. He contributed his great singing and musical talent to THE LORD as he helped to spread the Gospel with his mother.
Preceded in death by his four sisters Barbara J. Wade, Sandra K. Thomas, Schryal Bradley, and Rose M. Wade, Kevin leaves to cherish his loving memories three sons: Kevin Jerome Thomas Jr., Terrell Johnson, and Kevian Thomas; one daughter, Kelin “Babydoll” Gilbert; three sisters: Eleanor Jean Ojofeitimi (Olawale), Linda Thomas Ausby (Nathaniel), and Taungia Jones (Eddie Charles); one uncle, Hezekiah Wade (Mrs. Wade); three aunts: Emma Barber, Ola Lee Wade, and Corene Wright (Jive); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
