Lee Marvin Bankston was born to the late Mr. Will and Mrs. Arlee Bankston on October 24, 1964, in Blakely, Georgia. He was employed by Golden Peanut Company in Blakely for thirty-seven years.
Lee met and married Christine Mitchell, and to this union two children were born. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He touched the lives of all with whom he came in contact.
When it came to sports, the Georgia Bulldogs were his favorite team. He loved everything about them and had every shirt–long and short sleeved–representing them. His car mats, golf cart, and even the lawnmower had the Bulldogs logo on it.
Lee departed his earthly life on Monday, February 15, 2021, at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Early. He was predeceased by three sisters: Jerrdine Freeman, Mary Bankston, and Ruby Jean Bankston; and four brothers: Chester Bankston, Hal Bankston, Dennis Bankston, and Willie Ray Bankston.
Lee leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Christine Bankston; two children, Martavious Bankston (Sherell) and Breanna Bankston (Andrew); three grandchildren: Martavious Bankston Jr., Ase Lee, and Makari Bankston; two sisters, Evelyn Bankston and Azzie Lee Bankston; four brothers: Willie Bankston, Billy Bankston, Andy Bankston, and Bobby Bankston (Annette); a special nephew, Jerome Bankston; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; and his Golden Peanuts (ADM) Family.
