Mrs. Lelia Sue Feggins was born March 31, 1933, in Capps, Alabama. She was the oldest of thirteen children born to the late Jake and Wistie Feggins of Newville, Alabama. Ten siblings preceded her in death. Lelia Sue was a loving mother of one daughter, Patricia Feggins of Ashford, Alabama. Sadly, Patricia passed away in February 2012.
Lelia adored the color red, symbolic of her love for family. She was a warm, caring person who always greeted loved ones with a beautiful smile. Lelia also endeared many friendships during her residence at Heritage Inn Retirement Center in Blakely, Georgia. She was especially grateful for the loving and caring hands of Mrs. Gwen Harris and staff. Indeed, Lelia Sue will be missed by many who cherished her dearly.
In HIS infinite wisdom and gentle grace, ALMIGHTY GOD reached down from Heaven and whispered so quietly to one of HIS children these words: “Come with ME MY daughter, for it is time to go Home”; and so it was that Sunday, January 9, 2022, GOD gently closed the eyes of our beloved Lelia Sue Feggins.
She lived a long, peaceful life of eighty-nine years.
Lelia leaves to cherish one grandson, Ladon Feggins, Sr. (Arteria); three great grandchildren: Ladon Feggins, Jr., Xavier Feggins, and Lanijiah Feggins; two sisters: Mary Eunice Hunter (John) and Shirley Jean Hall (Eddie James); one brother: Cornelius Feggins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
