Less Henderson

Less Henderson was born May 30, 1939 in Blakely, Early County, Georgia to the late Clemmie and Ollie Mae Henderson. He departed his earthly life at home on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

He worked with Farmer’s Gin and Warehouse, now known as Birdsong Peanut Company, for fifty-plus years before retiring in 2008. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, gardeningand raising livestock.

He leaves to mourn two daughters, Shawnita Perry of Blakely, GA and Renee Henderson of Albany, GA; one son, Gerradi Henderson of Upper Marlboro, MD; seven grandchildren: Sharkayla Perry of Hunstville, AL, Latesa Roberts (Tavis) of Decatur, GA, Latoya Lewis (Micah) of Athens, GA, Travis Henderson (Whitney) of Riverdale, GA, Myles Henderson of Valdosta, GA, Marvin Blackshear of Albany, GA, and Velshauna Henderson of Blakely, GA; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Rosa H. Gilbert and Ida M. Henderson, both of Blakely, GA; a special friend, Linda Timpson of Blakely, GA; a goddaughter, Diamond McClendon of Blakely, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
