Lula Pearl Pitts

Lula Pearl Pitts was born on December 18, 1929, in Blakely, Early County, Georgia, to the late Jeff Butler and Eula Butler Foster. She transitioned from this earth on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, Georgia.

At an early age, she gave her life to our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST and joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Later, she moved her membership to Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Lula Pearl was married to the late Early B. Pitts. She gave birth to four children: Annie Jackson Bristow of Blakely, Georgia; Thelma Jackson Taylor of Albany, Georgia; Jeannette George (Benjamin) of Fayetteville, Georgia; and Tyrone Hicks (Gayle) of Stone Mountain, Georgia. She was also mother to four stepchildren: Shirley Pitts, Aaron Pitts, Debra Pitts, and Flora Pitts.

She leaves to mourn her children; her sister, Marion Holmes of Blakely, Georgia; her brothers, Willie Butler (Sue) of Bronx, New York and Charles Butler (Betty) of Yonkers, New York; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
