Margaret Priscilla Wimberly

Margaret Priscilla Wimberly was born on March 27, 1960, in Blakely, Georgia, to Bobby Smith and Pearlie Mae Wimberly.  She transitioned to Eternal Life on May 19, 2023, at the Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.

After graduating high school, Margaret worked as a Cook and Nurse’s Aid caring for the elderly.  She often provided food and care for others.  Margaret  also spent her adult years spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.

During her younger years, she accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.  She  later joined The Upper Room Ministries in Blakely, Georgia.

Early in life, Margaret met Henzy Bristow.  From this union of love, two children, Shandrae and Courtney, were born.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Shandrae Wimberly (Natasha) and Courtney Smith (Yantel), both of Blakely, Georgia.  She also leaves her special sister who faithfully took care of her, Michi Wimberly of Blakely.  Basking in those cherished memories are her sisters Sharon Everette, Katrina Smith, Debra Smith, Brenda Freeman (Bobby), all of Blakely, Lisa Smith, Cynthia Smith, both of Rockledge, Florida, Robyn Ogden and Lynnelle Ogden, both of Blakely; her brother Bobbie Smith Jr. of Bainbridge, Georgia; and her special cousin Benja Wimberly of Blakely.  Preceding her in death were one sister, Juanita Smith; and six brothers:  Melvin Wimberly, Johnny Smith, Michael Smith, Terry Smith, Ronnie Smith, Ricky Shorter.  Margaret will always be greatly missed by her grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  She will also be dearly missed by her very special friends:  Clovia Foster (Ann), Ann Blocker, Tameka Beacham, and Robin James.
