MARGARIE NEWBERRY EVANS JACKSON was born August 8, 1940, in Blakely, Georgia. She was the daughter of Cancer Lee and Lena Newberry Evans, who preceded her in death. She was married to Charlie Jackson Jr., who also predeceased her.
Margarie received JESUS CHRIST as her PERSONAL SAVIOR. She was faithful in her service to GOD and her church (Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church). She continued to nurture and share her wisdom with others about life and GOD.
Margarie was a cook in her profession. After her illness, she became a cook for her community on Howell Street and Blakely. Lick your fingers, and you can taste her cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, stickups, peanut brittle, popcorn balls, etc.
Her departure was on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Johnny Evans and Mozell Evans; her three sisters Wylene Bankston, Olivia Gore and Annie Washington; and her niece Martha Henderson.
Those left to celebrate her life and the cherish fond memories created are her loving and devoted sons, Bruce Jackson (devoted friend Floris Brooks) of Blakely, GA, and Willie Edward Jackson (wife Betty) of Brunswick, GA; and two daughters, Beverly J. Thomas (husband James Lamar) of Americus, GA, and Evelyn Varner (husband Jerome) of Blakely, GA. She loved her grandchildren Jessica, Selena, James, Jamail, Patrick, Nikki, Kendre, Ashley, Bruce Dewayne, Shemonica Pre, Darrius, Iesha and Tawanda. She has two living sisters, Annie Doris “Dot” Evans and Tommie “Jean” Watkins, both of Cochran, GA. Margarie has great grands; nephews; nieces; cousins; godchildren;
countless friends; and special friends Bobbie Lindsey and Gladys George. She leaves much love to everyone.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
