Marie (Igles) Wimberly

A TIME TO BE BORN...MARIE IGLES WIMBERLY, 76, was born in Blakely, Georgia on January 22, 1941, to Elton and Vera Lee Igles.

A TIME TO PLANT…Marie’s educational experience was shortened due to responsibilities around the house and rearing of her siblings. She was a school bus driver and later retired from the Early County School System.

A TIME TO LAUGH…She had a genuine heart that loved her children and enjoyed every moment of laughing and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed Sunday evenings with all of her family. More so, she adored her best friend, Evira Mells.

A TIME TO MOURN…Marie was preceded in death by her parents, son (Freddie Igles), and five siblings (Elton Jr., Carrie, Johnny, Robert and Mattie).

A TIME TO REST… Marie’s final call to Glory was received on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, Georgia.

A TIME TO LOVE… Marie is survived by seven children: Mary McClendon (Jimmy), Robert Barber (Barbara), Ben Wimberly, Willie Fred Wimberly (Willie Mae), Will Wimberly, Ezell Wimberly (Sharon), and Kevin Wimberly; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; and five siblings: Minnie James, Betty Nixon, Ruby Igles, Thomas Igles, and Lucinda Miller (Isaiah).

A TIME OF LIFE…Marie leaves a legacy of inspiration, love and encouragement. She was all about family. She believed: "No family is perfect– we argue; we fight. At the end of the day, family is family".
