Mary Pearl King was born July 17, 1950, in Blakely, Georgia. Her parents were the late Mack and Pecola Henderson.
At a young age, Mary Pearl joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend A. D. Harris. She later moved her membership to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Cleveland Sanders, where she attended faithfully until her health failed.
She attended Washington High School. Mary was employed at Early Memorial Nursing Home as a Certified Nurse Assistant for many years until her health declined.
On June 8, 2023, GOD saw that she was getting weary and called her Home to Rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Wallace King; daughter, Terra King; three sisters: Jeannette Hamilton, Annie M. Addison, and Corene Thompkins; four brothers: Willie Sol Jr., Abraham Henderson, Donnell Stewart, and Johnny Lee Foster; three brothers-in-law: Sammie Hamilton, Larry Addison, and Fredrick Wright; and a special nephew, Larry King.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Micheal King; daughter-in-law, Jonnie Mae King; one granddaughter, Makaila King; three sisters: Minnie Joseph, Mary L. Henderson, and Annie H. Wright; five brothers: Joel Henderson (Maria), Johnny L. Henderson (Diane), Mack Henderson Jr. (Annie), Willie Henderson (Doretha), and Detrick Peeples; a special nephew, Allen King (Jennifer); and a host of nieces, additional nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
