Melvin Young

1Melvin Young was born on March 20, 1933 in Early County, Georgia to the late Ernest Lane and Margaret Young. He was called Home on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Pinehill Nursing Facility in Byronville, Georgia.

In 1970, he married his wife of forty-six years. To this union three children were born; one of whom, Morgan Young, preceded him in death. One grandchild also preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Annie Young; three daughters: Kristy Young of Albany, GA, Megan James of Jakin, GA, and Johnny Young of Atlanta, GA; one son, Jerry Young (Mary Alice) of Blakely, GA; twelve grandchildren; one sister, Catherine Young of Tampa, FL; five sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
