Minister Patricia Smith Washington was born October 13, 1963, in Sacramento, California, to the late Willie Gene and Lottie Lee Sheffield Smith. She gave her life to CHRIST at an early age and was a member of Glorious Community Holiness Church, under the pastorate of Reverend Eddie Stapleton. Patricia received her education in the Early County School System, graduating in 1981, and at Bainbridge College, receiving a Diploma in Criminal Justice Technology and two Associate Degrees in Criminal Justice and Computer Information Technology.
She was respected, caring, loving, kind, a mother-figure, and a people person. On early Thursday morning, August 13, 2020, at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida, Minister Washington was called Home to be with THE
LORD!! She was preceded in death by her sister Antipollis Smith.
Minister Washington will remain within the hearts and minds of her daughter, Kenyarta Lovett (Johnathan Sr.) of Arlington, GA; son, Dr. Alvario Smith Sr. (Zundra) of Newville, AL; three stepdaughters: Jacquetta Rice-Hammonds (Carneal) of Aiken, SC, Latasha Washington of Ocala, FL, and Kizzie Stewart (James) of Jacksonville, FL; stepson, Brenten Rice (Tolonda) of Winnsboro, SC; six grandchildren: Jarquavious Smith (LaKeshia) of Sneads Ferry, NC, JaNylin Smith, Jaidren Smith, both of Blakely, GA, Alvario Smith Jr. of Americus, GA, Johnathan Lovett Jr. of Edison, GA, and Jerome Lindsey of Newville, AL; five step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren, Peyton Smith and Dakota Smith, both of Sneads Ferry, NC; five special friends: Frederick Shorter, Lora Cawthon, Virgil Wimbush, Lisa Mells, and Joann “Big Mama” Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends!!!
