PAUL VIRGIN was born on July 17, 1955, to Bessie Lee Virgin in Donalsonville, Georgia. Paul was an only child.
Due to unfortunate circumstances, Paul was orphaned a year later after his mother’s sudden passing. Paul was then adopted and raised by his aunt and cousin (Beassie Mae Clarke and Bessie Mae Virgin, respectively) in a large, loving family of cousins: the late Johnny C. Pugh, the late Silas Virgin, the late William Henry Virgin Jr., Doris C. Osby, George Clarke, Stanley Clarke, and Andrew Clarke; and a host of uncles, other cousins, and extended family.
Paul received his primary education at Carver Elementary School (Saffold, Georgia), Washington High School, and Early County High School (Blakely, Georgia). He received advanced certification in Culinary Arts in Clearfield, Utah, utilizing his training at various restaurants in Atlanta, Georgia. While residing in Atlanta, Paul worked in the construction industry (Pugh and Moore Masonry Contractors) for many years before returning to Blakely, Georgia.
Paul had a free-spirited demeanor, and most people liked him. Paul received joy and pleasure from the simple things in life. He loved country living, sitting by a fire, gardening, fishing, listening to music from the 1960s to 1970s, eating good food, and being around his friends and family.
Paul will be missed by everyone who knows him.
Paul Virgin departed this earth in the early morning hours of November 20, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Shantrice Rogers of Atlanta, GA; cousins, Doris Osby, George Clarke, both of Atlanta, GA, Stanley Clarke of Blakely, GA, and Andrew Clarke of Brundidge, AL; and a host of cousins and extended family members.
