RALPH WRIGHT SR., affectionately known as “TINY TIM”, was born on January 13, 1937, in Damascus, Georgia. He was the eldest of eight children born to the late Grady and Lossie (Carol) Wright.
Ralph relocated to Newark, New Jersey, with his late wife Gwendolyn Nunnally. Together they raised two sons and built a life rooted in faith and love. Ralph worked as a pharmaceutical machinist for many years before retiring and returning home to Georgia.
Ralph was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Nutley in Nutley, New Jersey. He served on the Trustee Board, as Church Treasurer, and as a proud member of the Angler’s Club. Born with a spirit as strong as his work ethic, Ralph lived a life marked by love, generosity, and laughter. Ralph took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. His hands were steady, skilled, and always ready to help anyone who needed him. Though hardworking, he was equally known for his warm humor, caring nature, and the deep love he carried for his family.
Ralph leaves to cherish his memory four children: Ralph Wright Jr., Leonard Wright (Gwen), Vilisia Maye, and Shambria Wright; five grandchildren: LaToya Wright, Kristina Wright, Patrice Wright, Quamir Maye, and Leonard Wright Jr.; three great grandchildren: Dontay Bell, Marcus Bell Jr., and Makayla Bell; and one great-great granddaughter, Desirae Miller.
He is survived by four siblings: Earl Wright, Ernest Wright (Murlene), Melma Brooks, and Randolph Wright. Ralph was preceded in death by three siblings: Raymond Wright, Eugene Wright, and Alvesta Hightower.
