Rosa Lee Williams Moore affectionately known as "Dear" departed this life on January 16, 2018 at 3:15 AM at Halycon Hospice Care in Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Moore, Sr., and two children Phyllis Moore Banks and James Edward Moore.
Rosa was born to the late Fletcher Williams ans Kizzie Holmes Williams Wright in Newark,NJ on June 24, 1924. She had one sister Evelyn, who passed as a young child.
She became a Christian at a very early age and was an integral part of her church from early childhood until she became unable to attend.
Rosa moved to Georgia as a youth and lived with her grandparents Charlie and Polly Holmes who she adored. She was introduced to her loving husband William D. Moore, Sr.by her future sister-n-law, Rachel Everett. They wed on February 01, 1947, to this union 4 children were born. They moved to South Florida where they both were very active in the church, Bethel AME and their Community where they were entrepreneurs. Rosa served as a missionary;she was on the Stewardess board, she was an active member of the Adult Sunday School class and participated in the Lay Organization. She later moved to N.J.was a member of Trinity A.M.E Church where she was a faithful member. She moved back home to Georgia in 1994 so that her husband could be closer to his elderly mother.
Sister Moore loved her family and loved to sew. She watched many children in the community as babies who are now grandparents.
She is survived by two children; Yvonne Maxine Busby of Atlanta Ga. and William D. Moore Jr. (Betty) of Midway, Florida, she is also survived by her 7 grandchildren; James E. Love , Tammy Love Johnson (Keith), Christopher L. Busby (Paula), Miya Moore Holland (Donterrious), James E. Moore Jr., Brandon Suydam and William D. Moore III (Aviance). 13 Great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
