We remember Tamika LaShon Smith, whose spirit departed from this earthly world on January 8, 2025, at Southeast Health of Dothan, Alabama, following a sudden illness.
Tamika demonstrated unwavering love and friendship towards family and friends. She exemplified the meaning of unconditional love.
Tamika was born on July 11, 1978, in Blakely, Georgia, to Billy Smith, Sr., whom she loved immeasurably, and Bennie Mae Smith.
Tamika accepted CHRIST at an early age at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She attended the Early County Public School System in Blakely.
Tamika was preceded in death by Billy Smith Sr. (father), Tara Ealey (sister), Sampson and Jurrie Smith (paternal grandparents), and Benjamin and Jennie Mae Ealey (maternal grandparents).
Tamika’s legacy of her season is left to her loving family to cherish–a devoted companion, Larry Davis of Blakely, GA; three children: Dontracious Smith (Shamekia) of Damascus, GA, Quandarious Smith (Jamika), and Jiquisha Smith, both of Blakely; six grandchildren: Nova Smith, Nolan Smith, Amira Smith, La’Loni Levatt, Aubri Henderson, and Coleston McGhee. Tamika is also survived by and leaves endearing memories to her loving mother, Bennie Mae Smith of Blakely; three sisters: Tawanda Tinson, LaToya Smith, both of Blakely, and Melissa Gordon of Stone Mountain, GA; and three brothers: Billy Smith Jr. (Tiffany) of Hopewell, VA, Ricky Smith, and Tony Smith, both of Blakely. Tamika also leaves a great number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever love her and cherish the special memories that they shared with her.
Tamika loved and cherished all of her family members and friends. She was very passionate about ANYTHING that was family oriented. Her children, grandchildren, and life-time partner (Larry Davis) were her world. Tamika expressed great love for not only her immediate family but for everyone, and especially her nieces and nephews–by whom she was affectionately known as “Meek Meek”. Tamika was also known for audibly expressing that she LOVED you.
One of her genuine sayings was, “Cause I love my family”. She enjoyed cooking, outdoors, social gatherings, and the company of family and any special guests. Tamika’s life was filled with love, compassion, creativity, and Faith.
