VICKY L. DOUGLAS was born in Blakely, Georgia, on June 25, 1977, to the late Theotis Brown Jr. and Willie Mae Brown. She accepted CHRIST at an early age and was a faithful servant of GOD, as HE was her source of strength and joy.
Vicky was united in Holy Matrimony to her high school sweetheart Lovern "James" Douglas on October 9, 1999. Vicky and her loving husband resided in Albany, Georgia. Vicky and James shared a special relationship of which no couple could compare.
Vicky received her primary and secondary education through the Early County School System, graduating Early County High School in 1995. She went on to further her education by obtaining a diploma from Albany Technical College in Early Childhood Development. She worked in the educational arena for several years, including Children’s Friend Learning Centers and Northside Elementary School (Dougherty County School System) in Albany. She later earned an Associate Degree in Social Sciences from Darton College. In 2010 Vicky earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Social Work while matriculating at Albany State University. She transitioned her career focus from education to social work and began working at Albany Primary Health Care as a Social Worker (BSW) at their South Albany Clinic.
Vicky was very active in the community and went above and beyond to help others. She enjoyed spending quality time with her husband and family and going on cruises.
On Monday, August 27, 2018, THE LORD finished writing her letter of life and requested her to come Home for Rest. Vicky leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Lovern James Douglas aka "Frank Jr." of Albany, Georgia; mother, Willie Mae Brown of Blakely, Georgia; five brothers and three sisters: Ulysses Brown of Donalsonville, Georgia, Michael Brown, Larry Brown (DaShelia), both of Blakley, Georgia, Belinda Gilbert (Bishop Vincent) of Albany, Georgia, Laura Smith (Charles), Kevin Brown, Shanika Brown, and Antonio Dale, all of Blakely, Georgia; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, including her best friend, Latonja White.
