Viola Salter was born on June 30, 1957, in Blakely, Georgia, to Flozell Salter and Inez Salter. On November 30, 2025, GOD saw HIS angel was getting tired and cure was not to be, so HE wrapped HIS Arms around her body and whispered, “Come to ME.” And peacefully she entered into Eternal Rest.
She attended the public schools of Early County, graduating Early County High School. She became gainfully employed and worked at Early Memorial Hospital for many years until her health declined.
Viola was a baptized member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Roderick Salter; three brothers: Edward Salter, Henry Salter, and Eddie Lee Salter; and two sisters, Annie Salter and Willie Pearl Maddox.
Viola leaves fond memories which will forever be cherished by her children: Edward Salter (Georgette), Jeffery Salter, and Michael Salter, all of Blakely, Georgia; eleven amazing grandkids: Diamond Salter, Jacquez Salter, Xia Foster, Nevaeh Salter, Taylor Lindsey, Ja’Kayla Salter, Jackevion Salter, Ashantey Brown, ShyNeshia Salter, Jer’Mychal Salter, and Jer’Mya Salter; one great grandkid, Jaxston Foster; and two siblings, Lewis Salter and Willie Dee Salter (Faye), both of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved held closest to her heart and who held her just as close, Shantora Salter. In addition, she leaves a loving former work family whom she loved dearly at Early Memorial Hospital.
