MR. WILLIE JIM WILLIAMS, better known as “JIM”, was born on March 29, 1939, to Mr. King Williams Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy Pittman Williams. He was a native and lifelong resident of Blakely, Georgia. He accepted CHRISTas his SAVIOR at a young age.
Brother Williams joined Evangelical Faith Vision Ministries, where he was appointed Deacon of First BlakelyHoliness Church. He was a faithful and dedicated member for many years. He was a dedicated employee of Grimes Construction Company for over twenty years. Here, he worked as a Lumberman.
Jim departed his earthly life on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, Georgia.
He will be deeply missed by his loved ones. He was preceded in death his parents; his wife Azzie Williams; two sons Sammie George and Theodore Williams; two daughters Deborah Williams and Barbara Williams; ten brothers Oscar Williams, Murray Williams, J. W. Williams, King Williams Jr., Alvin Williams, Loyless Williams, Charles Williams, Raymond Williams, Sherman Williams and J. T. Williams; and four sisters Nella Mae Shorter, Inez Salter, Alice Williams and Dorothy Anne Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories eight children: Alice Wimberly (Nate), Willie Williams (Dianne), Annie Stringer (Ralph),Richard Williams, Eric Williams, Brandon Williams, all of Blakely, Georgia, Toya Williams of Columbus, Georgia, and Bridget McCray (Demetrie) of Columbia, South Carolina; thirty-two grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one brother, the Reverend Earl Williams of Quincy, Florida; two brothers-in-law, James West (Levorne) of Blakely, Georgia, and Robert West of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Eaford of Blakely, Georgia, and Rosetta West of Jacksonville, Florida; and a host of other relatives and friends.
