Wiloza "Bob" Murrell, Jr.

WILOZIA MURRELL JR. was born in Early County, Georgia, on July 1, 1948, to the late Mollie Mae Smith Murrell and Wiloza Murrell. "Bob", as he was known, was called to Eternal Rest on Friday, April 3, 2020.

Mr. Murrell left Early County and moved to Newark, New Jersey. There he worked as a Visual Aid Tech for the Board of Education for over thirty years.

Upon arriving in New Jersey, Wilozia entered into a relationship with Johanna Henderson, whom he cherished very much until her passing. Later on in life, he met and wed Yelisa Marie Martinez, who later preceded him in death as well.

He is survived by his children: Maggie Walker, Rosie Filmore, Shawn Henderson, Wilozia Henderson, Tamika Henderson, Joyce Henderson, Thomas Henderson, and Rasheed A. Martinez; stepson, Robert Robertson; four grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and siblings: Laura Jean Stoketin (German) , Rebecca Cook (Walter), Helen Dixon (Richard), Shira Linda Williams (James), Kenneth Murrell (Martha), Lenzo Murrell (Geraldine), and Patrick Murrell (Linda).

Wilozia was predeceased by his sister Shirley King and brother-in-law Joseph King.
