Wonderful Brown

Wonderful Brown was born September 12, 1934, in Cedar Springs, Georgia.  He was the son of the late Rev. Thomas J. Brown Jr. and Mrs. Adell Brown.  He was also raised by his stepmother, the late Ms. Ethel Brown.

He was married to Bunnie Ruth Brown for seventy-one years.  Born to this union was one daughter, Sylbervia “Nunny” Brown.

Wonderful, received JESUS CHRIST as his SAVIOR. He was faithful in his service to GOD and his church, Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Wonderful was employed at Blakely Tire Company, where he worked for forty-three years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and eating his favorite food–fried chicken!

His departure was on August 26, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his three sisters Cora Mae Wilkes, Alice Mae Bouie and Beatrice Wilkes; and two brothers Henry Brown and Thomas Brown III.

Those left to celebrate and cherish the fond memories are his devoted daughter, Sylbervia Brown of Blakely, Georgia; stepson, James Wimberly Jr. of Blakely, Georgia; sisters, Mildred Young of Elizabeth, New Jersey, Mamie Howard of Bainbridge, Georgia, and Emma McKenzie of Union, New Jersey; special nephew, Reverend Dr. Hubert Brown of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and a devoted friend, Robert Henderson of Blakely, Georgia.
